Test your Ovarian Reserve
A simple blood test on the third day of your menstrual period will provide crucial information about your ovarian reserve. This test can be performed at the Frozen Egg Bank, Inc or any affiliated centers. Contact us for an order if you wish to have this test done at your doctor’s office.
The hormones that are measured with this test are FSH, LH, E2 and TSH.
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone): High levels of FSH indicate that your ovarian reserve is low, and that your chances of conception may be diminished. However, normal levels of FSH may not indicate that you have a good chance of conception. Your age is the most important predictor of your potential to get pregnant.
LH(Luteinizing Hormone): The relationship of this hormone to your FSH level may indicate an ovulatory problem.
E2 (Estrogen Level): Laboratory values that fall out of the normal range suggest compromised ovarian reserve.
TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
